Bosnia & Herzegovina does not operate under one unified promotional prize-game regime. Campaign requirements differ between the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Brčko District, and nationwide campaigns should therefore be structured as coordinated jurisdiction-specific workflows.
FBiH, Republika Srpska and Brčko District apply separate promotional prize-game rules and approval processes.
Promotional prize games in FBiH require prior approval from the Federal Ministry of Finance. The application must be submitted no later than 30 days before the planned campaign start.
Prize games require approval from the Republika Srpska Games of Chance Administration. Classic prize games and telecommunications-based prize games are regulated through different legal routes and must be classified before launch.
Promotional prize games in Brčko District require approval from the competent Tax Administration and publication of the approved rules.
The standard promotional prize-game routes use goods and services rather than cash substitution. Prize-fund limits, fees and closeout requirements differ by jurisdiction.
SMS participation is supported, but tariff and regulatory treatment differ by territory. In FBiH, the participant SMS price may not exceed BAM 0.50 per message.
LOCAL OPERATING CONTEXT
Bosnia & Herzegovina is an important Western Balkans market for FMCG, retail, telecom, banking, fuel and regional consumer activations.
The key operational difference is the country's regulatory structure. A campaign covering the entire country may require separate legal rules, approvals, fees, publication steps and regulatory documentation for FBiH, Republika Srpska and Brčko District.
The participant experience can still remain centralized. SMS, web, fiscal receipts, product codes, loyalty and POS participation can be processed through one technical platform while entries, eligibility and draw records remain separated where required by territory.
Winner communication, prize taxation, unclaimed-prize handling and campaign closeout should also follow the applicable local workflow rather than a single nationwide assumption.
GMD coordinates these jurisdictional, technical and operational requirements through one centralized project-management and technology layer.
One technical campaign can support multiple participation mechanics while applying the correct jurisdictional rules behind the participant journey.
Fiscal receipt data or receipt images can be submitted through SMS, web or campaign applications and validated for eligibility, duplicate use and winner claims.
SMS remains a widely used participation channel. Tariffs, operator arrangements and regulatory classification must be configured for the applicable territory.
Responsive campaign pages can support registration, receipt submission, product codes, consent, questions and participant verification.
Codes from product packaging or retail systems can be validated and converted into campaign entries across one or more jurisdictional pools.
Transactions, loyalty applications, retail-member activity and POS events can be connected with promotional participation and rewards.
Eligible entries can participate in controlled prize draws with territory-specific participant pools, draw records, reserves and regulatory documentation where required.
Free digital participation can be used for selected campaign structures and can operate alongside purchase-linked or SMS-based journeys where appropriate.
Fixed-gift, points-redemption and other deterministic reward mechanics can sometimes operate differently from random prize games, but campaign classification should be confirmed before launch.
GMD can maintain one participant experience while applying the correct territorial controls throughout the campaign lifecycle.
